through twists of fate
Auroras, Program marked MC117 was created seven cycles to the date by a team of two users. Names and identities of the creators in questions are undocumented however traces of base information remain on the program they designed. Of that information, this program started as a mere side project. A simple string of singular data that when activated projected a hard light being that could aid in battle for mere minutes at a time. Something to be used a defensive mechanism in war time engagements in the outside world. A goal that was never achieved.
Much like a child takes steps through development, so too did little Aur0ras. Her creators eventually settling down enough to take her project more seriously as time passed. Bit by fragmented bit they pieced the would be program into shape. The essence of reality becoming closer an option than ever deemed possible beforehand. Though the steps taken to achieve such a result were long and strenuous on both mind and spirit. It reached a point where soon enough the data brought together was more than enough to grant some kind of almost viable form. A chance to stand before them both, not just a piece, but a whole. Even if still slightly incomplete.
The more the two played the stronger Aur0ras was for it. Admittedly there were several times in between where they had almost crashed out her servos entirely or even accidentally lodged a piece of her internal core out somewhere. Yet through each thick and thin they did their best to keep her active. In ways treating her like family and on some occasions like a child they had never intended. It was all soothing at the time. The sort of bond the three shared. The sort of influence that made Aur0ras fight to be as real as she could be for them. Which is why, as her body did progressively form to full effect. She did her damn best to learn what she could, develop some skills, and at the very least attempt to emulate that same compassion they shared with her each and every day since awakening to their faces.
some fates are cruel
At some point not too long after her official release into the world. Both creators left to the outside world in response to an important situation. Even to this day, Aur0ras can recall the sense of urgency she felt when told. The sort of abandoned sadness that she could explain as they logged out. Their encouraging assurance that they would return in good time, the only thing keeping her from shutting down completely. The more depressing part was that her fears were no less confirmed. For whatever reason, her creators never did return after that day. Even while the system underwent states of decline. Not once did they appear to come back to her. Not once did they even give a sign that they were okay. No, they had left and through a cruel twist would probably never return.
Left to her lonesome Aur0ras defaulted to a state of limbo much like the rest of the system had done in that time. Unsure of so many things, without purpose or direction. In the midst of what had once felt like a home. She was more alone than ever. For cycles to come it would remain that way. Until finally enough was enough. Having spent enough time in the mediocrity of a slowed down lifestyle, she had an epiphany. A change was needed. Through vigorously demanding means it was this determined obsession for change (and in truth the layered desire that she might see them again) that brought the lowly program to achieve what she has so far.
With the support of those like minded to her cause and a rising interest by the general populace. Aur0ras has become the next herald of the system and it's inhabitants. In doing so providing programs with new purpose while presenting them with the promise of a new era. One of development, one of progress, and one of prosperity. Whether she will succeed in such high expectations has yet to be seen.
