Member Groups
Listed below are detailed summaries of all currently available member groups on site. Each has their own unique introduction to the system and how they contribute to the societal ladder. As well, each has their own set of conditions in order to be playable by members.
Outside Users
The foreign alien to which the system's very origin is praised towards. These spirits are the collective intelligence, adventure, or even nefarious of the outside world known only as the Users. Humanoid biological specimens that pass through the systems on whim of their own flights of fancy. Often there are mixed opinions of whether these entities are safe to allow access of entry. However there are just as many in belief that the users are the mere definition of higher power in a religious sort of standpoint. Either way they are the humans who have one way or another found their way to the system and it's inhabitants.
There is no limit to how many Users can be present in the system.
Administrators
High ranking programs with privileges and functions beyond that of any other type. They are programs of attention that serve to maintain order in the system and it's society. Most were programs that already existed and showed exceptional promise in some respect. It is rare to find a program that is created for the purpose of becoming an ADMIN based type. A grand majority if not all are hand selected by and take direct commands from the Master Control Program in person. Due to their nature of designation their known circuitry color tends to match that of the MCP which is Lime Green.
There is usually only a small force of no more then twelve admins, four apprentices, one second-in-command, and one MCP in the system at a time. If interested, PM Beta to make sure your idea works.
Basic programs
The common design of the Digital Realm. BASIC programs are either created by users or other programs to perform a simple task. They treat this task as humans would a daily job. Their existences in the the system is the most resemblant to that of ordinary human culture. They are considered the general public. Their known circuitry color is Light Blue.
There is no limit to how many BASICs can be online in the system.
ISomorphic Algorithims
Much like humans arrived on the planets. ISOs are a phenomena that were somehow spawned of their own accord within The Grid. Their history states that they simply appeared one cycle from within the system without a single sign as to how or why. Over time their numbers grew as was expected. However, the more ISOs that were created, the more unsettled Programs became with the concept of being a unified society with them. The digital prejudice eventually drove the ISOs to form their own colonies. Which many cycles later were purged from the system completely by the madness of a former MCP which left little to no survivors. Though some did remain safe in secrecy of their true identities. In the Grid they are considered a long since deresoluted race. When in truth they are simply just an extremely rare commodity.
It is currently unknown how many ISOs remain safe in the system at this time. Applications for this class will be reviewed more closely for approval.
Rogue programs
These are programs that are known to act and think of their own accord regardless of any societal influence. Unlike other programs who put uniform faith in Users or the MCP as a religious means. They believe in other methods, events, or perceptions that in their own opinions bring about an ideal digital experience beyond that of the community's accepted standard. Though far from the notion of anarchistic some do show signs of detest for the norms maintained by the general populace. Their known circuitry color is Red.
There is no limit to how many Rogue Programs can be online in the system.
sentry programs
The program equivalent of militant forces. These are programs that have either been created or reformatted to serve as a source of security to the system. Though they can be called upon for the sake of war or other combative opportunities as needed. These forces are many and vary in specializations. Where some Sentry units might be front line fighters with bulky armor and heavy weapons others might be stealth operatives that can navigate the skies with wing packs and other light equipment. They generally serve under the command of high ranking commander programs or in other cases under the direct guidance of the MCP in person. Their known circuitry color is Orange.
There is no limit to how many low level Sentry Programs can be online in the system. However, there is usually only a small force of no more then four commanding officers and two unit generals at any time. Applications for Commanding Officers and higher will be reviewed more closely for approval.
virus programs
Highly corrupted code that is either created in failed executions or that has infected an already existing program. It develops to such an unstable level that it can corrupt other strings of data by merging with it. This includes parts of the system and even other programs. ISOs can also be affected by them as well. They often keep themselves well hidden from society as being discovered would mean immediate deresolution though they take pride in striking fear across the system one attack at a time. The longer they remain unstoppable the more hysterical they've been known to become. This is due to the severe instability of their code which causes them to deteriorate both mentally and physically over time. The aesthetic design of their circuits become wild and scar-like. Their known circuitry color is Yellow.
There is no limit to how many low level Virus Programs can be online in the system. However, there is usually only a small force of no more then one beta virus and one alpha virus leading the pack at any time. Applications for Beta and Alpha viruses will be reviewed more closely for approval.
