The Setting
Though much of the digitized data constructed kingdom remains the the same there is just as much to be said for it. The lingering sentiment of progression on the artificial breeze. Across the way from mortal eyes a new era begins. One of prosperity, one of peace, and perhaps one of united brethren. Yes, much remains, but there yet brews the hope of change.
The Digital frontier
The Grid, created and founded by the forefather of the the code Kevin Flynn. Then later succeeded by his lesser half CLU. Though freshly released from the tyrannical program's reign after many long cycles of prejudice and war. The system continues to strive. It's society growing bigger and better with each passing session. So much so, that some would beg to question just what kind of advancement goes on. All the same the portal has been reopened via a remote terminal access shared across a small network. A network that surprisingly becomes more preoccupied with time. The cause? Not yet discovered. All that is known is that the user traffic is multiplying.
The Outlands are for the moment, mostly untouched. Many a program fear to make traverse through this sector of this system. All due to feature of location. With the ruins of two long forgotten ISO strongholds deep with these stretches. Stories are rumored and with programs still fearful of that which they do not understand. Such places easily become no man's land except for those brave enough or in need of isolation.
The Air Colonies remain on high and ever guarding over the busy system below. Even with CLU decommissioned as acting Master Control Program. Those in power find solace in these air born retreats. Away from general populace and there in the mediocrity of BASIC living. Clear to say those with power and excellent social standings are the ones biding their time in these mobile units. The newly appointed MCP, though unlike in attitude compared to the rest, is no exception to the lavish lifestyle of air fleet nobility.
